Part 1: The Accidental Discovery and Principles of the Three-Day Apple Diet

The idea that apples can help with weight loss was purely accidental to me.
I've entered middle age, and my once slender and graceful figure has gradually become fuller due to the comfort and ease of my work and life. My husband sometimes calls me "Fatty." Although it's meant as a joke, it's taken to heart. Looking at myself in the mirror, I feel a sense of loss. The most frustrating thing is that when faced with the dazzling array of new clothes in stores, I often hesitate to buy anything, not because I'm short of money, but because I can't find the right size.
I have tried various powders, capsules, pills and powders to reduce swelling, but with little effect. Moreover, I often could not continue because of the nauseating taste when taking them.
Because of the strict diet, my digestive system was severely disrupted, and I frequently experienced diarrhea. One day, I read in a book that apples could stop diarrhea, and after eating them, it really worked. I also felt much more energetic than usual. Three days later, when I weighed myself, I had lost 3 kilograms! I was overjoyed. I consciously tried it for a few more days with continued success. A month later, I had lost a total of 5 kilograms.
When friends, family, and colleagues asked me for my secrets, I answered them honestly. Many people followed my advice and all benefited. I've compiled everyone's experiences into a book to share with those who need it.
Edible functions of apples
Apples belong to the Rosaceae family and are characterized by their sweet, sour, and neutral properties, and are non-toxic. In ancient times, they were called "Nai." They are a nutritious fruit. Medicinally, they can regulate the stomach and intestines, stop diarrhea, and relieve constipation. They can also be used to treat high blood pressure and have the effect of preventing and relieving fatigue. Apples also have the effect of lowering blood cholesterol.
Apples contain sugars (including sucrose and reducing sugars), protein, fat, various vitamins, and minerals such as phosphorus, calcium, and iron, as well as fruit acids, quinic acid, citric acid, tannic acid, and carotene. The peel contains triacontane. The roots, bark, and leaves contain phlorizin. Apples are known for their calming and sleep-inducing properties, their ability to nourish the middle burner (spleen and stomach), their heart-strengthening properties, and their ability to aid digestion. For indigestion and bloating, juicing and consuming apples can help regulate qi and promote digestion.
Apples are one of the few fruits that are available year-round. Their taste, shape, and color are among the best of all fruits, making them a top choice for everyday consumption and as gifts.
Why can apples help with weight loss?
Obesity is mainly caused by excess calories. Therefore, weight loss involves reducing calorie intake and consuming the body's stored energy-fat; on the other hand, it involves emphasizing a balanced diet to prevent new excess calories-that is, the regeneration of adipose tissue.
People's living standards have generally improved, and their material lives are relatively abundant. However, some unhealthy eating habits make it difficult for people's digestive systems to process food. People with stressful lives and work are prone to obesity.
Apples contain essential amino acids, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and carotene, which can basically meet the body's needs, are easy to digest and absorb, and most importantly, taste delicious and are easily accepted by people.
The apple diet allows the digestive system to rest fully, restoring its original function and enabling it to work normally.
The apple diet reduces calorie intake, forcing the body to use stored calories, specifically fat, to make up the difference. As excess fat is burned, weight loss naturally occurs.
Apples promote digestive function, as they are easily digested and absorbed with minimal waste, thus reducing the burden on the stomach, intestines, and kidneys. This allows for the efficient elimination of waste and purification of the blood. Imagine, with waste smoothly eliminated and metabolism returning to normal, wouldn't this prevent and even cure many ailments?
The apple diet can promote the production of white blood cells in the blood, improve the body's resistance, and enhance immunity. It also helps to improve the nervous system and balance endocrine function, offering immeasurable benefits for improving mental well-being and promoting normal skin physiological activity.
Specific methods for apple diet
The specific method of the apple diet is to eat only apples every day during the diet period. You can eat them according to your usual breakfast, lunch, and dinner habits, and the amount should be enough to make you feel hungry. You cannot eat any other food during these 3 days. Keep in mind that any other food will irritate your stomach and intestines, disrupting the normal digestive and absorption functions after eating apples. Of course, if you have to do this for work or other unavoidable reasons, you can also do a 1-day or 2-day diet; as long as you do it, you can still see results.
If you feel thirsty, you can drink plain water or some non-irritating tea. In short, during weight loss, the stomach and intestines are very sensitive to food and drinks, so you should not drink beverages casually to avoid causing gastrointestinal discomfort.
When choosing apples to eat, it's best to select those that haven't been contaminated with pesticides. If that's not possible, regular apples are fine. However, be sure to wash and peel them before eating them raw. Eat fresh apples whenever possible.
For those who are not in a good health condition, raw food can be prepared as jam or juice (but remember not to add any other ingredients). Commercially available juices often contain additives, so it's best to avoid drinking them.
Apples can also be eaten by microwaving them until soft. Alternatively, adding agar-agar to the juice to make jelly is another good way to enjoy them.
In short, with a little processing, we can find a way to eat apples that suits our individual needs and overcome the negative psychological effects of eating apples continuously.
The 3-day apple diet is highly effective, and the results are even more pronounced if combined with an enema (i.e., bowel cleansing) on the evening of the third day. People with normal bowel movements don't need this method, as it's rather inconvenient and can be omitted.
